Short bio

Xavier Delaunay obtained his Engineer's degree from ENSEIRB School of engineering and his Master degree in signal and image processing from Bordeaux 1 University in 2005. He received his Ph.D. in signal and image processing from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse in Nov. 2008. During his thesis at TéSA laboratory, CNES (the french space agency) and NOVELTIS company, Xavier Delaunay studied recent images compression techniques for on-board satellite image compression.
Scientific engineer in the NOVELTIS land surface between 2008 and 2012, Xavier Delaunay has worked on several projects related to image processing. Particularly, he has developed several features based on the CCSDS 122 image compression standard. He has also developped image processing tools for the characterization of vine plot heterogeneity from airborne images in the frame of VINNEO project.
